Mike Ruman

Founder

Mike Ruman is the Co-Founder of Reach The Lost, bringing over a decade of experience in Christian publishing with organizations like Zondervan, David C Cook, and Focus on the Family. A proud graduate of Michigan State University (Go Green!), he combines strategic marketing expertise with a heartfelt dedication to ministry. Believing that Jesus is the hope of the world, Mike co-founded Reach The Lost to connect people to Jesus through the local church—the avenue he sees as the most impactful for meaningful spiritual engagement. Passionate about helping churches reach the right people, he leverages innovative strategies to clarify their message and extend their reach.

As the author of The Traffic Flywheel, Mike developed a groundbreaking marketing strategy and framework that empowers organizations to get found online effectively. His visionary approach aligns seamlessly with Reach The Lost’s mission to equip churches with the tools they need to make a significant difference in their communities. Mike enjoys running, scuba diving, and MMA. When he’s not helping churches grow, you can find him spending quality time with his family on the ski slopes of Colorado.

Ryan Clark

Partner & CEO

Ryan Clark is the CEO and Partner at Reach The Lost. With a background leading sports marketing and business development teams, Ryan honed his leadership revitalizing a struggling sports training facility and spearheading new initiatives for Christian business owners.

Always passionate about the Church, he felt a call to serve the Church at a new level when the pandemic hit. In 2021, he joined forces with founders Mike and Chris, and together they launched Reach The Lost, an organization dedicated to helping churches win searches on Google. Ryan’s driving force is to see more people come to know Jesus, churches win, and his team develop. Beyond work, he enjoys coaching baseball, fly fishing, and exploring the Colorado mountains with his family.

Maddie Hsin

Director of Operations

Maddie Hsin is a church and marketing professional with experience in churches across the Denver Metro Area, and 5 years in B2B and B2C marketing for nonprofits and local businesses. She currently serves as the Director of Operations for Reach The Lost – When not at work, you can find her in her garden harvesting veggies, reading a book with a good cup of tea, rock climbing, or playing complex board games with friends!

Catherine Sandgren

Digital Marketing Manager

Catherine Sandgren is a skilled marketing and communications professional with extensive experience in crafting compelling content, driving digital engagement, and executing strategic campaigns. Catherine has managed multi-platform social media strategies, created branded promotional materials, and launched new event series to elevate audience engagement. Her expertise includes developing lead-generation campaigns and building analytics dashboards to inform marketing strategy. Catherine enjoys connecting organizations with their audiences through effective storytelling and marketing solutions. In her free time, she can be found reading, hiking the CO mountains, and cooking with fresh produce from her garden.

Emily Beazell

Marketing Coordinator

Emily Beazell serves as the Marketing Coordinator at Reach the Lost, bringing over four years of hands-on church ministry experience to the team. A graduate of Denver Seminary with a Master of Divinity, Emily combines her theological expertise with a deep passion for helping churches connect with their communities. She is committed to equipping congregations to share the transformative message of the Gospel with their digital audiences. Her work reflects a blend of creativity and purpose, inspiring churches to make a lasting difference in the lives of those they serve. When she’s not working, she can be found in a coffee shop with a good book or out for a walk in sunny Colorado!

Cassie Baker

Marketing Coordinator

Cassie Baker is a marketing and ad strategist who has spent years serving churches, pastors, and female entrepreneurs with online business and marketing solutions. Now with Reach the Lost, she combines her experience and training to support the marketing efforts of RTL clients.

When she’s not strategizing for clients, you’ll find Cassie enjoying family time with her husband and daughter, sipping coffee with friends, recording voiceovers, or enthusiastically singing show tunes in her car.

Tom Hines

RTL Consultant

Tom Hines has over 25 years of experience in marketing and programming, starting his career in the nutrition industry. He has developed a wide range of custom solutions using PHP, JavaScript, and Python, with a specialization in WordPress development, including plugin creation. Tom combines his deep technical knowledge with a data-driven marketing approach, consistently staying on top of emerging technologies like server-side tracking and AI to ensure his strategies remain cutting-edge. His expertise and forward-thinking mindset make him a key contributor to the Reach The Lost team, delivering innovative solutions that produce measurable results.

Heidi Hines

Marketing Specialist

Heidi Hines is an experienced marketing specialist with a proven track record of developing impactful strategies that drive growth and engagement. With expertise in digital marketing, brand development, and campaign management, she excels at creating results-driven solutions tailored to client goals. Heidi combines her creativity with data analysis to identify opportunities and optimize performance across multiple channels. Her ability to collaborate effectively with teams ensures seamless execution of campaigns from concept to delivery. Passionate about staying ahead of industry trends, Heidi leverages innovative tools and techniques to deliver measurable results. Heidi also utilizes her bachelor’s degree in mass communication and speech communication to craft compelling messages and build strong connections with diverse audiences.

Marketing Specialist

TJ Hines is Google Ads certified, specializing in the Google Ad Grant program for nonprofits. With a proven track record, TJ helps organizations maximize their $10,000 monthly grant, driving visibility and support through strategic campaigns. Skilled in keyword research, ad copywriting, and analytics, TJ creates high-performing campaigns that meet Google’s policies. He is passionate about empowering nonprofits.

Our Story

In 2019, RTL started with a simple question…what if we could help people searching for hope online connect with a local church?

One morning, over breakfast, our founders, Mike and Chris, talked about the volume of online searches happening in Colorado Springs from hurting people. The stats showed people searching for answers to topics such as divorce, alcohol addiction, depression, and so on. But instead of being met with the hope of Jesus at the top of the search results, they were getting Psychology Today and Forbes articles.

That conversation sparked a desire to change things. In 2021, they invited Ryan Clark to join as CEO and help bring the vision to life.

Our Vision & Mission

Since then the RTL team has grown and so has the impact. Our vision is to blanket the US with the hope of Jesus through a digital representation of the local church.

We’re on a mission to help churches win searches on Google through maximizing Google Grant, enhancing SEO, and leveraging Google Paid Ads.
